The solid forms of Earth, Water, Fire & Air have been created through ritualistic drawing of movement onto clay, slicing, joining & contemplative practice.
Each element embodies the emotion it was created from using data gathered from philosophical theories, folklore, psychology, music & poetry, mapped to the cardinal directions.
Lisa Cole is designer maker & experimental ceramicist who translates intangible things into analogue generative artwork & solid and tactile objects.
Her work admits access to a different world of experiences where songs grow into shapes, nature draws patterns & feelings can be captured as forms.
