Bird and Wind drawings at the People’s Art Fair in Bristol
The People’s Art Fair is an open group exhibition curated by the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft. Based in central Bristol, this campaigning group work to raise awareness of climate change, corporate advertising and social justice. They also support local artists like me.
I’m very proud to be showing 5 drawings by birds and the wind. I’ve chosen drawings that are from important historical days, such as the toppling of the Colston statue and ones that demonstrate the changing patterns of birds throughout the year. The drawings are made via machines that move pens when birds land on feeders. The colours are chosen to represent the temperatures of the day. Each artwork is mounted and framed, ready to hang.
I will be in the good company of 46 other artists who work in different media and styles.
There is also a series of events including The People’s Music,, creative workshops, the Octopus Odyssey Collage Club, The People’s Poetry and The People’s Theatre!
